Gun and Weapons Criminal Cases Are Serious
Possessing and carrying a gun or other weapon is a choice many people make. The choice to have a gun is a serious responsibility. It is a huge responsibility to have a Concealed Carry License and actually have a firearm on you when out in the public. If you don’t follow the law, or use your weapon or gun wrongly, you could face serious consequences.
Courts do not take gun cases lightly. Judges and prosecutors see way too many gun related deaths and tragedies. Gun laws carry stiff penalties including prison, local jail, and the loss of your right to own and possess a firearm. Even non-weapon related criminal charges could lead to the loss of your right to own and possess a gun or cause you to lose your Concealed Carry License.
Believe it or not, there are additional mandatory penalties that can be added to a sentence if you are accused of using a gun to commit a crime. In addition to being punished and sentenced on the actual criminal offense, you could face more time by having a gun.
