I had to accept an undesired divorce. However, I was fortunate to meet and hire Rick Scott as my attorney. When I first met with him he allowed me to vent, cry and express all of my feelings. At the end of the initial conference he would not accept my retainer; but assured me he was my attorney. He said “go try to save your marriage, I am here if and when you need me.” Over the next eight months he would converse with me, advise me and listen to my concerns and desperation to salvage a marriage that my wife had checked out of. Rick and Brandy have been superior with communications, documentations and billing. If I had a question, it was immediately addressed. The simplest way I can put it is, I know I am a client. However, Rick made me feel like a friend. I know he is fighting for me and for what is best for my children. I trust him and could not imagine facing this and contending with my divorce without him. Rick tells you not to worry until he tells you it is time to worry. When I was upset and called him (which happened a lot during my case), he asked me “Have I told you to worry yet?” When I said no, he told me to stop worrying then, because he was going to handle it, and he did.
My friend was represented by Rick, at the time I was going through my divorce, but I was represented by another attorney. When I complained to my friend about my attorney, he told me to call Rick. So when my ex to me back to court for a change of custody, I got Rick as my lawyer to represent me. Unlike my experience with my previous lawyer, Rick responded timely to my panic and anxiety filled questions and concerns. Rick told me he would tell me when it was time to worry, and that he would handle things. After the change of custody trial was over, my ex lost every motion that he filed. I highly recommend Rick.
